As part of the CTIAF Travelling Showcase, we hosted a special screening at Bertha Movie House in Khayelitsha—an inspiring community cinema known for its focus on education and African storytelling. Around 80 young people attended the event, enjoying popcorn, lunch, and a screening of animated short films from across the continent. After the films, the audience took part in a conversation about careers in animation and the pathways available for those interested in studying the craft. It was an afternoon of shared stories, lively discussion, and plenty of laughter.
