From 28–30 November, Cape Town was transformed into a buzzing hub of creativity as 23 animation teams took on an exhilarating 48-hour animation jam, inspired by the theme “Everyday Magical.”
For two intense days and nights, artists, animators, storytellers, and creatives worked around the clock to turn everyday moments into extraordinary animated stories.
The atmosphere was electric — filled with fast-paced collaboration, bold ideas, late-night renders, and more than a few cups of coffee along the way

Sound came to life with professional sound design support by Pete O’Donoghue from Upstanding TV, bringing each animated world to full cinematic impact.
And because great creativity thrives on good energy, teams were kept going with
delicious snacks, hearty meals and even neck massages to ease the pressure of the creative marathon!
