Spanning traditional hand-drawn 2D, intricate stop-motion, rare pinscreen experimentation, and cutting-edge 3D/CGI hybrids, this collection bridges continental heritage with global perspectives.
From the bustling streets of New Oakland to the mystical waterways of West Africa, and into the far reaches of a divided galaxy, these films explore resilience, identity, and the community ties that bind us. Through these diverse voices, we witness the power of animation to heal, inspire, and transcend boundaries.
BONUS: We’ll also be screening films created during the 2025 CTIAF AnimJam — a high-energy 48-hour animation challenge that brought artists together to create 18 original short films in just one weekend!
